GUIDELINK VIP Card - HOAX or NOT

July 6, 2011 - Wednesday
It was such a stupid day… the telemarketing company, Guidelink Corporation (as what they have introduced to me) / Guidelink Marketing Corporation (as seen in SEC) called me up and offered me a VIP gold card, which I thought at first was a BPI gold card. He went on explaining the privileges I can get from the card which includes big discounts from restaurants, hotels, travel, etc. He also said that I would get a 30% discount from the Philippine Dental Health Club for pasta, braces, prophylaxis etc. He also offered me a waiver of my annual fee for all my credit cards and so he ask my credit card details to ask for approval to the cc companies. I gave out my HSBC and Metrobank details. Darn it!
Afterwards, he told me something about Php5,998 which I really did not understand. The event happened so fast that I perhaps could not comprehend anymore of what he was saying. He then gave the line to a girl and welcome me for being a member of the VIP gold card – availing a package amounting to Php5,998. That was an eye-opener for me. I told the girl to please wait and that I would to clarify what the amount was about. She then gave the phone back to Mr. HARRIS PINEDA, that was the telemarketing agent’s name by the way. Harris kept on talking about the discounts then later on said that it’s going to be in black and white.. so that was the time I relax. I thought I would be receiving the package first then look up all the privileges, then if I agree, they would process my request. So I said ok.
He, by the way, gave me his direct line ____ so I would be able to contact him anytime for clarifications. He is my “consultant” as what he said. To top it all, the phone kept on being disconnected. He said they have a problem with PLDT and kept on apologizing.
After putting down the phone, I searched the internet about their company. And BINGO!! I found several blog sites saying all those things about GUIDELINK and METROCARE. The blogs include the site below:
I was SCAMMED!!! Just like the rest of those who posted. Well, the Company might not be a scam itself, but their marketing strategies suck!! And a scam in a way, since they were not clear on everything. They didn’t even ask my permission to purchase that transaction online. Damn!
Later on, after finding all those blogs, I called Harris and inquired on the transaction again. I clarified if the transaction won’t push through if I won’t be signing any documents. However, he said, no that’s not necessary. It’s like an online purchase and no signature is required. That’s the time I said he has to cancel the transaction. He said he would have to check if the cc company has already approved the transaction. If not, he can still cancel it, but if the transaction was approved, I would have to wait for the package. The courier shall give them the report that I have received the transaction. Then that’s the time he would call me up and ask me to make the cancellation letter and send it to them through fax. I was furious, but then I said, ok, go check it now.  He told he would call me back after.
He didn’t call back so I called back. He said that the transaction was already approved by Metrobank. Upon knowing that, I called Metrobank immediately and found out that there is a transaction floating amounting to Php5,998.  I told my story and asked if I could do anything to remedy the situation. The agent told me that a dispute letter can be filed but only after the transaction is posted. The remedy I could do is call Guidelink to cancel the transaction.
I felt so helpless I don’t know what to do. I kept calling Harris and he kept on insisting I should accept the package and do the process he told me. He was so convincing. He even told me that if I won’t accept the package and do the process, later on, I would call him back and I would ask to do the process since that’s the only way I could cancel the transaction. He said that he was just following protocol and as his “consultant”, he won’t let anything bad happen in our situation.
However, as advised by the cc, I should not accept the package and go on with the dispute letter. However it is still not a guarantee. It would just avoid giving Guidelink a reason not to cancel my transaction since I already accepted the package. I blocked my card and have it replaced, though I don’t really need the card anymore. I prefer to cancel the card but then I still have to pay that obligation floating. Double darn it!
As I have nothing to do for now, I read the blog and posted the comments asking for help. One person who goes by the name “naz” send me a reply stating as follows:
1.       April Guidelink din bumiktima sakin nung March pa yun.. tinyaga ko lng basahin tong blog nto kya nagawa ko mga dapat gawin.. sa ngaun tingin ko nga nagpapanic ka, magfocus k muna.. please try to read the previous post here, malalaman mo n signature mo ang pinaka kelngan nila para macharge n talaga sayo yung 5k+.. tumawag kna ulit sa bank mo hanggat maaga pa, ireport mo n detalyado nangyari sayo tas pablock or papalitan mo n yang credit card mo ng bago (card replacement mga200 o 400 ata? mas ok nato kaysa dun sa 5k+) papagawin k nila ng formal dispute letter, gawin mo lng yun, medyo mtagal lng aantayin mo bago tuluyan matapos yung case mo, kelngan lang tlga wag ka bibitaw, dapat nga pla masend mo yung dispute letter bago ang next cutoff mo para maalis n sya agad sa floating, pagka nakuha n ng bank dispute letter mo meron sila 60days investigation.. basta tandaan mo wag ka bibigay sa panloloko nila na kelngan mo pumirma, my suggestion ako kung kaya mo gawin, gayahin mo ginawa nila el_pistolero nakuhanan nila sa video yung courier n hindi nila tinanggap yung package, isang evidence narin kasi yun n wala kang tinanggap sa kanila.. madami pang tips dto sa blog nato.. kya simulan mo na at tyagain mo na basahin mula sa simula tong blog nato para malaman mo at maintindihan mo history at makuha mo mga dapat mo gawin.. sana nakatulong ako kahit pano..

July 7, 2011 - Thursday
The next day, I kept on reading the blog and searching for more blogs so I would know what I'm dealing with. Affter so many research, I came across this blog who goes by the name pao.
She too had the same experience as I did. But her story is more deceving and more expensive than what had happen to me.
Anyways, I posted comments on her blog as well and she was quite friendly and helpful in giving me information on what had happen to her.
According to her blog, she was able to obtained a copy of the credit memo from Guidelink without paying anything. So I tried doing the same.
I called Harris and kept on insisting that he should provide me the credit memo since I immediately cancellted my fraudulent transaction with them. He kept on insisting the standard operating procedure (SOP) they have and that I should first accept the package. I was furious. I even threathened him and I wanted to talk to his supervisor, but he refused to give the phone to her (Ellena Pineda, if I'm not mistaken - that's the name he said). Quite a coincidence that his supervisor's last name is same with his last name.. hmpf!
I also threatened to report them to DTI, police, Tulfo or whatever authorities I could think of during the conversation. He said it's up to me to report to those authorities. I would just be spending money, but in the end I won't win since they are a legitimate company and their transactions are legal. Darn!
It seems like my plan isn't working so I talked with my cousin who knows how to threaten people. He knows some people in media that could surely help us if necessary.
So their conversation went on and on. In the end, he agreed to give a credit memo provided I paid a cancellation fee amounting to Php1,750. Bingo! Just like what Pao said in her blog and so with all the other comments from the previous blogs I read. The difference is with the amount they ask. Hmpf! They think we're stupid to believe everything they say. Thank God for technology and all these blogs.
My cousin did not agree of the amount and said to lower it down. Harris agreed to lower it down to Php750. He will be the one to shoulder the remaining Php1,000. Could you believe that?
Anyways, my cousin agreed with the amount and tried to convince me to pay so we can get it over with. I said okey, but deep inside me I was in rage and would not want to pay anything.
I called Metrobank to confirm if all I need to have to reverse the transaction is the credit memo. They confirmed so I was now confident. All I needed was a good plan to get a copy of the memo without giving a single cent.
I told my cousin to deliver it on Tuesday since I would have to speak with my colleagues to ask help on what plan to do to get that memo. I needed time.
July 8, 2011 - Friday
The next day came and I spoke with my colleagues. We were ready with a plan, though not so solid plan. We just had to wait until Tuesday to get it over with.

July 11, 2011 - Monday
Weekend passed and I was afraid the memo wouldn't be delivered. I asked my cousin to call Harris again and asked to deliver the memo.
Harris said he is not sure if he can deliver it within the day or tomorrow since it's not yet processed.
Thankfully, it was delivered this afternoon through a messenger. My colleagues were the ones to speak with the messenger. They made up excuse that I can't come down on our waiting area and they would have to borrow the memo for my inspection. The messenger agreed so we proceed with our plan. We scanned the memo and sent to Metrobank.
I then, went down our waiting area to give back the memo. I said I wouldn't accept the memo with a receipt of my payment. He called Harris over the phone and said "uy pare, may tinatanong sila e.. di ko maintindhan. kaw na lang kumausap." then again... I argued with Harris insisting a memo is not considered an official receipt anywhere and that I wouldn't pay unless I get a receipt. I would be the one to go to their office if I would be needing the memo (address is: unit 102 G/F Marbella 1 Bldg. Brgy. 13 Roxas Blvd Pasay City as they provided). He agreed and we both put down the phone.
I waited for the next couple of days. According to Metrobank, the floating charges will be gone after 10days if not verified by the merchant. The credit memo or any dispute letter wouldn't be used for the moment. We would need to wait for the transaction to be posted.
July 16, 2011 - Saturday
Exactly, 10 days after the transaction occurred. I called Metrobank to verify if the floating charges were gone. They told me to call back again on Monday.

July 18, 2011 - Monday

I called Metrobank again as advised.. and voila!! no more floating charges! the transaction was not posted at all!!

I was so relieved. Now it's up to you guys to decide.. HOAX or not? I believe it's hoax!! It's indeed fraudulent! Anything used to deceive people into entering a transaction is fraudulent.. it's hoax!!

However you see this, I learned my lesson! You guys should also beware of all those telemarketing companies. Let's all learn to say NO when needed.

*By popular demand, here is the copy of the credit memo issued to me. The letterhead has no references of office address, contact details, VAT information, etc.

I had to seal my full name and credit number for my protection but here is the full picture of the credit memo.

  1. Hi April! Thanks to your blog! Because someone called me kanina and offering me the same card. Actually pakilala niya sa akin is Harry Montessa then ung supervisor niya is Elaine Pineda. So nung una ok pa, in-entertain ko nman twag niya. Sinabi niya nga ung mga benefits etcetera, etcetra. Then nabanggit niya rin na walang annual fee or anything, so I think na ok lng. But nung banggitin niya na my one time payment na kailangan bayaran, I started to search in the internet na regarding this GUIDELINK. Kaya while talking to him, I'm reading your blog. Kaya thank you ng maraming marami sa blog mo, dahil right after talking to him I called HSBC agad para ipa-block ung card ko.

    Thanks again.

Since first time ako, nadeceived nya akong magreveal ng details ng cc ko most especially ung 3 digit code sa likod. :'(

parang magkaboses sila ng agent na nagpasok skin sa EastWest Bank at ung nagofffer skin nito kaya naging mas kapante pa ako ng ok tong transaction na to..lalo pa na alam nila ang details ng cc number, expiry number, personal details like birthday, telephone number, address. office number. He even knows yung balance ng cc ko. credit limit..

nahimasmasan ako later, then narealized ko nascam ako, so nagresearch po ako about this at eto nga, dami ngang nabiktima..

That's something we can all do. i will monitor po this thread and contribute po to help against these scammers.

  5. hi josh. i'm not sure how to go about complaining pero yung mga links na nabnggit ko sa taas is doing the same.. gusto rin nilang magfile ng complaints and everything.

sa sobrang desperate ko na mapareverse ung transaction, binasa ko rin yung mga blogs above. i even filed a complaint online with dti pero until now wla namng response.

i'd like to help as well kung cno mang makkapagdirect satin in filing a complaint.

..pero according to my cousin who was also involved with a telemarketing company dati, this companies are legitimate daw but their marketing strategies are off, that's why he decided to resign and moved on to another company. yun lang..

  6. hi april,
thanks sa blog na to. only last wednesday, october 12, 2011. guidelink called me up and ask if i want a platinum vip card. she introduce herself to me as Nicole Rivera. Eto na kwento na siya ng kwento about sa benefits ng card. she then ask me of my 16 digit credit card, of course at first hesitate ako. but later on binigay ko na din yung 16 digit. and then she transfer me to their product manager to welcome. tapos binigay ulit ng manager sa kaniya, so 5,998 yung babayaran ko pero it would be turn to only 370.00 pesos na lang kase sabi nila may recommendation letter daw galing ng visa at mastercard. upon taliking to her, i quickly browse to the internet and found out na ang daming negative comments sa kanila. so i said na i-cancel nila yung transaction bago ko ibaba yung phone. then tawag ako sa hsbc and ask them kung nka-post na yung 5998 under guidelink corp..yun na floating na yung 5998. so tinawagan ko yung guidelink, lalo na si "Nicole Rivera" and putcha, walang nasagot. So tawag ulit ako sa hsbc and sabi nila na yung merchant lang daw ang makapagka-cancel nung 5998. I keep on calling "846-7275 and 846-7266" yan yung binigay saken ni Nicole Rivera pero walang nasagot.

  7. hi all. sadly, i got fooled lang din by guidelink. actually ang pakilala niya is GMC. never niya namention full company name which i though GMC lang nga. im one of the chosen few, that i dont need to apply for the card kasi nga pili nga ako. they called me up ng october 20. ang name naman ng agent ko is ms. nygel silva. same sa mga kwento niyo. they offered services, discounts, dental benefits, even calling her directly to avail of discounted bookings sa ibat ibang lugar daw. she then asked for my cc number, expiry date, tpos the digits at the back of the cc.. my cc by the way is hsbc. i was hesitant na nga to give the last 3digits.

    ReplyDelete
  8. i even told her na are you sure that i should give you my last 3digit number. kaso ewan ko ba, stupidly i fell for that kasi kahit naman daw iverify ko sila blah blah. basta very assuring sila sa way ng pakikipagusap. ang galing manghikayat. so anyhow, nabanggit nga nya ung worth 5998 which hindi nga din mashado clear but all i can remember na clear sa usapan namin is that sa january 2012 pa magcharcharge yun. that papadala niya muna sakin ung package so i can review & then she would call me once i got the package to confirm if i wanted to pursue the vip car or not. i even reiterated to her na sure ka na walang charges pa yan sa card ko ha & she said yes.. meron din pala during the conversation na pinasa niya ako sa parang manager, cant remember her name na and winelcome ako.. so un after our conversation, i looked up sa net kaso cant find the gmc company. hinayaan ko kasi confident ako na wala pang charge kasi antayin kopang dumating ung package. so ito na nga, this morning dumating ung messenger. actually sunday palang pumunta na un sa house namin kaso wala ako so hindi niya iniwan. kanina, without letting me read the papers, lesson learned to read first talaga before signing, ayun i signed 3 papers.

    ReplyDelete
  9. without realizing nung time na un bakit charge slip ung isa kong pinirmahan at ung isa is the application form nila with their terms nga i received the package, and the sales is final. i can scan it tomorrow & email you the copy. may ganun din ba na nabigay sa inyu? tpos kainis pa nga ung messenger sabi sakin, naku mam kelangan same po pirma nyu. sabi ko e ano gusto mo ulitin ko pa. edi dko nalang tanggapin niya. e hindi talaga magpapareho pirma ko kasi may patong. so he just let me signed at the back of the application form. name, signature & date ule. uhhhh stupid! so un while browsing the package, affilliated merchants palang nila, super turnoff na for me. ni hindi kilala mostly ng nandun. a few lang like ideal vision, avis rent acar. but nonetheless, hindi worth it ung mga kasali. may kasama pang gc's etc. tapos un nga the vip card with my name on it. suddenly nagtaka ako sa charge slip, sabi ko pa sa officemate ko, teka parang nacharge na sa hsbc ko kasi may approval number na.. so immediately, i tried to call gmc at voila, ring ng ring ung given direct line niya. ung ibang numbers na nsa form is 1ring then busy susunod. tpos ang telefax hindi din macontact. so ito na nga nafeel ko na scam. so a few trials at wala padin, hsbc nalang tinawagan ko to check if that transaction reflected on my cc & said yes. shocks sabi ko magulo ung transaction and to shorten that, sabi ko im reporting it na baka may mavictim pa na iba & to block my card right away kasi nga they know my details na. hsbc agent told me to fax a dispute form na nga. after that, i tried to call gmc ule, pati ung mga afiiliated merchants nila just to check if may connection sila with them.. at ito wala akong macontact sakanila. residential pa nga ung isang number, ung iba busy or notin service. so patay na! dahil hindi nga ako maka contact w gmc, i tried using my duo number at un may sumagot! maybe may caller id mga gagong un. grabe talaga usapan namin ni nygel. ang bilis nyang magsalita at hirap akong sumingit pero taas boses nako with her. sabi ko usapan natin jan 2012 if itutuloy ko e bakit reflected na sa hsbc ko. sabi nya she was about to call me if panung installment payment gusto ko. sabi ko ayaw ko na and icancel na kasi ayaw ko ng ganung klaseng transaction. halatang natataranta nadin siya sapagsagot sakin kahit name ng officer niya lito na siya sa surname which un ung unang sumagot before pinasa sa kanya. she told me to send their cancellation officer ng letter but i have to wait for 10-15 days. kasi may process daw etc. after the long talk, binabaan niya ako ng fone. so i called hsbc ule & told them na nakausap ko na. reiterated to hsbc nalang na report to as scam na & i would be sending them a dispute form and in anycase i wouldnt pay for it. sabi naman ng agent ok lang yun if idont pay for that basta mapasa ko ung dispute form. the amount nga is floating but it would reflect na sa next billing ko. shocks! na email ko nadin ang gmc with the cancellation letter. sana nga lang totoo ung email add, i mean mag response. wala pa naman akong narereceive na nagbounce yung email ko sakanila. grrrrrr kainis talaga. atleast now, ive learned my lesson very well. careful na ko talaga next time. ang bilis kong naniwala. recently lang kasi about ace insurance connected w hsbc ung tumawag and kumuha ako which i got the package nadin. sana lang hindi din scam tong ace. ill check nalang din tomorrow para sure. this one naman 580+ monthly babayaran ko. haaay check ko nalang din. hindi tuloy ako mapanatag. sana maayos din tong akin...

  10. Ako rin na scam.. BUT THANK GOD that I was able to read THESE Blogs to know that I MUST NOT Sign ANY Document. Ayon, NAWALA ANG FLOATING Charge sa Akin. TODAY MAY TUMAWAG FROM PARAGON.. Beware kasi mukhang YUN ANG NEW NAME NA GAMIT Nila.. PARAGON.. I hope wala nang maloko..

    any advice?

  18. Hi April, just got a reply letter from Guidelink! at ayaw nila icancel yung transaction. Gusto niyo makita ung letter? hindi formal letterhead, hindi nagreflect ung fax number tapos by management lang ung signature sa baba. parang internal office memo lang ung dating! nakakainis manloloko sila... tooo bad nagpaloko din ako.. huhu pano kaya to? cancelled na ung card ko but still floating ung amount.. will it reflect pa kaya sa new card na ipapadala sakin?? in any case, hindi ko din talaga babayaran un...

    ReplyDelete
  19. yep.. gnon din yung credit memo na ibbgay nila dpat skin. may logo na mkhng gwa gwa lang tpos name ng company..wlang formal letterhead with address and contact no. of the company.

umm.. as to kng magrereflect sya sa bill mo.. i'm not sure of that. sabi kasi sakin dati nung credit card compny ko, dpnde daw sa transaction un.

if ginawang online transaction.. like ininput online lahat ng details mo to process transaction, hindi na kelangn ng signature mo.. so amgrereflect yun sa bill mo. para lang nagpurchase ka ng merchandise online..

pero.. if yung transaction is hndi online at kelangn mo magsign... lusot ka.. hindi lalabas sa bill mo un... at mga after 10 days (banking days yta un), mccheck mo ulet sa credt card mo na mwwla na ung float.

yung akin, hindi ko alm kng nareverse ang floating charges ko dahil sa crdt memo or dahil sa wla akong sinign. sa mga nabsa ko kasing blogs before, ang sbi meron silang nasign na charge slip which is nalilito rin sila pano nagkaron ng charge slip e hindi namn nila bngay ung credit card nila para iswipe. ang nabgay lang is credit card details over the phone. ang weird dbA?

ayun. that's all i can say..

    ReplyDelete
  26. hi allen, if you've seen a charge slip at d mo pinirmahan, eventually, the transaction should be cancelled off.. mga cgro after 10 days (not sure if banking days), check mo sa cc compny mo, dpat wlang magrflect dun.

i bliv i mentioned already in one of my comment above, 2 possiblities ng kind of transaction yan.. one is ung online, and the other one with charge slip na parang nagswipe ka ng card. if you don't sign the charge slip, meanng hindi naconfirm ang sales nila sayo, so hindi un pde magreflect. pero kng online transaction, outright maaprove un kasi para ka lang nagonline shopping, meaning di kealngn nga receipt.

allen, you should be in close coordination with ur cc company and ask them remedies. gnon lang po ung ginwa ko.

    ReplyDelete
  27. hi unknown, as mentioned in my earlier comments, hindi natin maccgrado kng magpopost pa ang transaction or not kasi it will dpnde kng anong panloloko ginwa nila.. kng online transaction (which is mahirap takasan) or the one with charge slip na kekelangan ng pirma mo.

bsta don't sign anything, be in close coordination with your cc company. they will help u through.. gnon lang po ginwa ko. and i read several blogs para maintindhan ung mga nangyari sa iba..

i've already tell you everything i know and everything that happened to me in detail..

  33. hi sybilquemadaortiguesa and aziar, i just sent the email...

aziar, i think wag mo ng hintayin.. kasi they were able to give me a credit memo without any letter. hindi ako nagbgay ng kahit ano sa knila. they agreed to give me a credit memo pero may fee raw na babayaran. i agreed over the phone pero i didn't pay anything.

and NEVER receive the package AND/OR sign anything.. yun ang advise ng cc company ko. kasi pag inaccept mo raw yun, pde kang baliktarin at sabhin na tinanggap mo is implication na inaccept mo yung transaction.

(ybhellecinezal@yahoo.com.ph) kasi ung riend ko naloko eh, hnd ko kc alm na my 2mwag pla sa knya last week offering her the same card, khapon niya lng naikwento, kya ako na mismo ang 2mwag sa HSBC regarding this, kya hinanap ko ult itong blog mo, I just wanna help her lng talaga, kasi sayang ing 5,998 na un noh, kung sa tulad lang nilag mga peste mapupunta. thanks :)

  36. mam april isa rin po ako na scam ng "guidelink"same din po ang pangyayari..2X p nga bumalik ang messenger sa akin, yung 1st hnd ko pipirmahan kc i-cacancelled ko ang card, tapos tumawag sla s akin, ang sabi irecieve ko muna ang card before ko icancelled ang card, ang sabi ko para saan pa icacancel din naman, yun po kc ang SOP nla so bumalik uli ang messenger...at pinirmahan ko,and then nag send ako ng letter of cancellation sa "Guidelink",and then nga nag appear p din yung purchased s "guidelink" although nag request ako for cancellation. And ang metrobank gave me the instruction na tawagan daw muna ang guidelink, until now hnd ko sla makontak after the transaction. Can you give me step solution or advice for my problem....salamat po

  37. hi! i was also fooled by this company..sadly the charges are still floating in my account..and i even gave 3990 just to make a reversal in the credit memo..i was advised by this carla from hr to pay the 3990 for the reversal in my account but unfortunately there was no reversal until this time..i was so busy that i didn't have time to check the net about this guidelink..for those of you who want to pursue a complaint regarding this company i am really willing to take part..thanks to this blog..

    ReplyDelete
  38. hi jessie, pls read my entire blog. dinetalye ko na po dyan lahat ng ginawa ko to reverse the transaction. kelangn kasi manggaling tlga sa guidelink yung credit memo for reversal.,, fortunately for me, i was able to obtain the credit memo. have you tried looking for their building? address is: unit 102 G/F Marbella 1 Bldg. Brgy. 13 Roxas Blvd Pasay City as they provided.

hi mav, naku sana hindi ka nagbayad ng cancellation fee.. fortunately for me, ang nagastos ko lang is replcment card for my cancelled card, though ayoko na nga ipareplace.. gusto ko completely cancelled pero automatic daw yun..hmm.

anywayz,, do you have anything to support na nagbayad ka to cancel the transaction? maaybe you can file that along with your dispute letter sa bank para macancel yung trnasaction?

    ReplyDelete
  39. hi april, oo nga e iwas really fool by paying that 3990..akla ko kc they were true to their words only to find out n mga manloloko pla cla..i received the credit memo which i am planning to make as an evidence to the BIR that they did not issue an OR for the said amount in my case and i already sent a dispute letter together with the cancellation letter which i sent to the guidelink and the credit reversal memo which they issued, to the BDO just what i've read here in your blog.. i am working also to get some assistance from the NBI to get in touch with media personalities they know to expose this non-sense company.. i am really thankful to your blog..at least alam ko hndi ako nag-iisa.. btw, the BIR pasay told me that if there are victims of this company who still would like to continue their fight just write a formal letter of complaint dw for this company..

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi, im an unfortunate victim too. Thanks for all the helpful comments dito sa blog na to. But what im really curious of is "pano nila nakukuha yung mga personal details natin?" I remember kasi siya pa nagverfiy ng ibang info sakin...

Btw, I'm willing to be another complainant should we pursue this matter with BIR Pasay... Individual ba yung pag send ng complaint letters?

    ReplyDelete
  41. hello Mr. P, yes individual filing of complaint pro mas madami daw ms ok..did you receive a credit memo also?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I was also a victim..though I haven't received any package nor signed any document, there is already a floating charge in my CC account as I checked.

I am planning not to sign and receive anything from the courier once it arrived. Also will discretely take video of the package denial as evidence.

Had emailed my cc bank which is HSBC for the formal denial of this transaction. Also I called them to inform that I did not give my final approval but then I saw the floating charge immediately. My cc bank informed me that it is only the merchant which is Guidelink who can only cancel the currently floating transaction.

Please help and advise me what to do. thanks!
If I dont receive the package in 15 days will it still be posted the following month(s)?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi mav, I haven't received the so called credit memo yet. Pinasulat lang nila ako letter of cancellation so far tpos mag antay daw ako ng 10-15 days para malaman yung decision. However, balak ko silang kulitin through-out the week. I also already called my cc company telling them im disputing the transaction dahil iba yung sinabi nila na product sa pinadala nila.
I plan to file the complaint letter sa BIR this week too. How about u mav, any updates on your case?

@azir - I think your case is similar to that of April, in that if you don't sign anything, kusang mawawala yung floating transaction, but I suggest iclarify mo sa cc company mo. I dont think you should worry kasi di yan magrereflect sa bill mo until mapost yung transaction which happens when Guidelink sends a copy of the receipt with your signature to the cc company.

    ReplyDelete
  44. hello mr. P..they also asked me to wrote a letter of cancellation but nothing happened..they gave the credit reversal memo and after they got the money which was indicated in the memo, i can't contact them anymore jst like what the other bloggers told..i'm still waiting for the response of the cc company for the dispute form which i sent last time..maybe nxt week i'll be going to BIR pasay..btw pls address the letter to Ms. Corazon Montes she's the head of BIR in pasay.. good luck s tin.. i'm still hoping 4 a good result just what happened to april..

  45. SHIT!!!!!!!! THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! GUIDELINK VIP CARD MARKETING IS REALLY A BULLSHIT COMPANY, REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!! My BDO credit was hacked by this non-sense company and their non-sense benefits!!!! Please don't let this company victimize others!!! Mr. Carlos Guitterez one of the Marketing Consultant once told me that VIP CARD is very good!!! But before the delivery of the card, me and Mr. Guitterez had an agreement that before deducting the amount i must first review the benefits of the card!!! But i was really disappointed of what they've done! Nothing happens!! They just deducted the amount without any further clarification!!! Guys this company really need a lot of punishment!!!! They are suck!!!! I've send a cancellation letter last november that, i am not interested, because of of their non-professional non-sense business!!! Mr. Guiterez told me that the cancellation letter will take 7-15 days!!! After 7-10 days I called him for follow up! He said that the cancellation is approved!!!But after a couple of months!! it was credited on my BDO Credit CARD!!!!!! When I reach to call them, theres no answer and they dont entertain anymore!!!!! PLEASE GUYS GUIDELINK VIP CARD!!! IS REALLY SCUM COMPANY!!!!!!!!!FUCK THEM!!!!!

    1. parehas tayo ng nangyari unknown.. sabi nila black and white daw lahat.. so papadala muna nila package para makita ko before deducting anything.. darn tlga..

i think your bdo credit card was not hacked.. pero kasi parang may system yta sa credit card na they will know your basic information tpos yung card details mo they will know the first 4 numbers kasi standard yun then they will let you continue the rest of your numbers.. magaling sila magpaikot..

I was fooled to give the complete card no. ko and the no. at the back of my card...

pero super thankful lang tlga that i was able to contact them kahit mahirap sila kontakin and i was able to have my cousin backed me up at tulungan ako mkipagnegotiate with the company.. pero they were not able to get a single cent from me.

ang binayaran ko lang is yung 500p replacement card for my credit card dahil sa pagpapablock ko.

I texted him din to cancel the transaction and wag na pumunta dito sa house kasi I wont accept the package din naman. I checked my credit card online, so far wala pa naman floating transaction, good thing din kasi maxed out yung card ko. Hehe! Tama ba yung ginawa ko?

Thanks so much sa blog mo.

  63. I also was a victim of this people last December pa yta 2012. lame but true. ganun tlga eh. anyway this might be helpful to others. the owners name is a certain Norma Apacible. She was living in unit 707 sunset view tower, 2230 roxas blvd, pasay. this was her personal # 6973101 (i was talking nice to her kahit feeling ko eh tinatakot nya ako kaya nya bngay # nya). I was able to meet her in that address and told me na ibabalik daw ung pera ko. You wont be able to contact any #'s na binigay ng guidelink kasi lumipat na yta cla ng office and ibang # na and ibang company name so for sure eh mrami pa tong maloloko. I want to pursue them to refund my money but still too busy right now and mas mganda siguro kung mas marami. Hope this would help others as well.

    DINE AND TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL… AN

    ADDITION TO SYNDICATE SCAM!

Hi everyone! I receive a call from DINE AND TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL just today. They offer discounts to hotels and resorts where members are exclussive to avail of their so called unlimited discounts ranging from 10% – 40%. The membership cost Php4,450.00 and according to the person I've talk with once I'l avail I can have freebies like Gift Certificates from Robinsons, etc. She keep on bubbling with airline tickets, etc until i can not catch up anymore. She talk very fast ( which i beleive it is a strategy to get my focus out of my instincts). Things get wary when she's asking of my credit card information and my company name and address. (What d...k*! why should i give you my personal details?!?) I’m sure this adds to a bunch of scammers who single out innocent people. I ask for their website or facebook and the girl i am speaking to easily hang up the phone. Jesus!... person of sound mind will not do that way. I look at the net and found out their site. Check on this fellow credit card holder and BE EXTRA CAREFUL IN ANSWERING PHONE CALLS.

From my analysis the company is fairly new. To all concern individual please beware of this company. Be vigilant and check the background before saying YES.
